National School Choice Week Albuquerque Event

A whistle stop tour across the country aimed at boosting support for education reform made a stop on January 26th in Albuquerque.

National School Choice Week, which ran through February 2nd, featured more than 3,500 events spanning all 50 states and featured rallies on the steps of state capitols to pizza parties to special events at individual schools.

The Albuquerque event was held at the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History where supporters and former state Sen. Mark Boitano – gathered to discuss the successes of charter schools in New Mexico, the future of private school choice and the benefits of homeschooling. People also took part in a “wave-along” in Gallup, Lamy, Las Vegas and Raton, NM.

“Won’t Back Down” Movie

DANCE NIGHT!

In celebration of the successful effort to provide underprivileged New Mexico families with scholarships for their children, Educate New Mexico held a “Dance Night” on Saturday, September 15th, from 6 to 8 pm at The Hiland Theater in Albuquerque, NM.

The evening featured performances and instruction by Enchantment Dancing, Inc. There were hors d’oeuvres, desserts and a silent auction.  Ms. New Mexico 2012  also gave a performance!   Check out the ENM Facebook page for more pics!
